After a long Easter vacation break I could hardly wait to come home and dive into scrap stuff...
During the spring I took part in the scrapbooking convention, where LadyE was a "guest of honour" and conducted several workshops. Strongly inspired, I decided to create a water can from scratch as my Easter project for Fabrika Decoru (LayE's video tutorial is available here).
In my family, we have a tradition to gather for an Easter lunch. My mother in law is usually in charge and likes to read through the menu of the day and proudly present all the dishes to be served. She is an excellent cook indeed. I thought that this water can could be a great table decoration, displaying the menu on the back side.
Water can - flowers and Easter egg
I cut out hand-drawn water can on a thick cardstock, covered it by scrapbooking paper from "Smile of Spring" Fabrika Decoru's collection and added a modelling paste through a stencil. I decided to keep the water can's background rather simple.
I made two simple foamiran flowers and some distressed paper flowers. Major element of the embellishment is an egg (actually, purchased in Netto) - the same, hanging from the letter E in the background, where the intention was to symbolise "E" for Easter :)
Fuzzy cut elements are from "Smile of Spring" sheet, left after covering the water can itself. Rose leaves are distressed with Tim Holtz' ink. As a finishing touch, I added chipboard from Fabrika Decoru, as well as sequins.
And just a couple of other photos ….
Thank you for stepping by, wish you a great day ahead!
I would like to contribute to Fabrika's Decoru third Easter project
