Altered notebook - suede soft cover
DIY soft cover for notebook
Today I would like to share a quick project, where anything literally goes.I was lucky to find this beautiful faux blue suede on sale (Stof & Stil) and already at the store I had an idea of what I would use it for. The project itself may not be straight out of the box in terms of an innovative solution, but I had great fun making it and it definitely deserves a separate post :-)
Any notebook or a sketch book (like this one from Flying Tiger) can become a center piece in no time, and no budget. The hard cover of the notebook is soft-padded and "wrapped" into faux leather. For the embellishments I used wooden frame, paper and fabric flowers, lace, some die cuts and tags from Tilda collection. Notebook's closure mechanism is rather simple - a button. Most of the parts are glued with a glue gun, however I can also recommend a universal glue from Søsterene Grene, which does not leave marks on either paper or fabric. Sequins, randomly placed around, add the last touch to my project.

Inside the notebook, I tried to play with different stamps, as well as with embossing - flower and a leaf are embossed with golden powder.

Here is a quick video review of the notebook:
Thank you for stepping by, have a lovely day ahead!
