Black pink gold plastic foil tag
It is all about beauty
It has been written about and discussed in numerous occasions about how beauty standards pressure women's daily lives. Perfect Instagram pictures, or Facebook post updates. Society dictates norms and we try to live up to them. My 6-years old (almost 7) daughter once asked, observing me every morning applying make-up:
- Mommy, why are you using make-up? You are beautiful just the way you are. Can you promise me, that one day, you are going to work without any make-up?
Well.. yes, one day I will try my best to keep that promise :)
Plastic fantastic tag
I am grateful for the challenge by Fabrika Decoru to encorporate plastic in a scrapbooking project. I took on the challenge literally. I started with a piece of plastic and applied tape diagonally. Space in the middle was left out intentionally in order for the stripes not to feel "crowded".

Then, I simply removed the tape and applied sheets of golden foil. The stripes do not have to be perfect, imperfection will only add to a handmade charm.
Black, pink, gold
I decided to complement the plastic tag with the golden foil by wonderful collection "Sensual love" from Fabrika Decoru. It has strong colours, passion, beautiful flowers. I cut the tag for the background and prepared die cuts of roses (fussy cutting), as well as a cabochon, doily and butterflies. In the next step, plastic tag and the design paper background are stitched together. I added black cardstock, also for the purpose of having a space for a short text.
Now, the tag is ready. I know, I have to limit the embellishments, but how to resist the temptation? Thus, a couple of drops, rhinestones and a plastic sticker "friend" made it into my project.

Here is a short video review of the tag:
