Paper candle house
It is this wonderful time of the year… when I am hoarding! :-) All those beautiful boxes and packages from chocolate, cookies and sweets. When I saw this one from Kinder, I had an immediate idea of how I would alter it, being inspired by Fabrika Decoru's Challenge #4 "Winter attributes".
Paper candle house
The house can be opened from the side, and the door is just big enough to fit an electric candle light.
The house got several generous layers of white gesso. Then I ran white cardstock through Tim Holtz die "Brick Wall" strip and glued small bricks onto the house walls. Yet another layer of gesso on top. Old packaging cardboard serves as a roof, gently treated with lots of snow paste, glitter and embossing powder. The walls are slightly distressed with a brown inkpad.
Foamiran flowers steal the focus as the main embellishment on the candle house, accompanied by Sizzix die cuts "Holiday greens" by Tim Holtz. Luckily, for those I had small paper leftovers from spring collection by Fabrika Decoru. This whole arrangement is placed on a tree stump and sprayed with snow.
And, here is how the house looks like with a candle inside. It is flickering as if a real candle was lit inside.
It is going to be the center piece of the living room here in December :-)
Thank you for stepping by, have a wonderful day ahead!
